This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions and add-ons purchased for the Jina Connect hosted cloud service, operated by JINA CODE SYSTEMS. It does not apply to self-hosted deployments, which are free under AGPL v3.

1. Subscription Plans

Jina Connect offers monthly and annual subscription plans. By subscribing, you agree to the billing terms described in our Terms of Service.

2. Refund Eligibility

✅ We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first paid subscription. If you are not satisfied within 7 days of your first payment, contact us for a full refund — no questions asked.

3. Important: WhatsApp & Messaging Costs

Your Jina Connect platform fee is separate from Meta's WhatsApp per-conversation fees and BSP/carrier charges. We cannot refund messaging costs charged by Meta, Gupshup, Twilio, MSG91, or other providers — these are billed directly by the respective providers and are outside our control.

If you believe you were charged incorrectly for messaging, contact your BSP or carrier directly.

4. Service Credits for Outages

If the Jina Connect hosted platform experiences downtime exceeding our SLA commitments, eligible customers will receive service credits (not cash refunds) applied to the next invoice. Credits are calculated as follows:

Credits apply only to the Jina Connect platform fee and not to third-party messaging costs.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at billing@jinacode.systems with:

We will process eligible refunds within 7–10 business days. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard under Billing → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation stops future charges. You retain access to all paid features until the end of the current billing period.

For annual plans, cancellation prevents auto-renewal but does not trigger an immediate refund unless within the 30-day renewal window (see Section 2).

7. Free Plan & Self-Hosted

The free plan and self-hosted (open-source AGPL v3) deployment are free of charge. There are no refunds applicable as no payment is collected.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers at least 15 days before they take effect.
