How we build, and how we expect Jina Connect to be used.
Jina Connect, a product of JINA CODE SYSTEMS, exists to make business messaging open, fair and respectful of the people on the other end of every conversation. This Code of Ethics describes the principles we hold ourselves to and the standards we ask of everyone who builds on the platform.
Messaging is a privilege, not a right. We expect every sender to obtain valid opt-in before contacting a recipient, to honour opt-outs immediately, and to respect each provider's policies โ including Meta's WhatsApp Business policies. We build the tooling to make consent and unsubscribe handling easy.
We do not support spam, phishing, scams, harassment, or deceptive messaging of any kind. Accounts that abuse the platform may be suspended. Templates and broadcasts are meant to deliver value people asked for.
Our core is open under AGPL v3. Anyone can read, audit, fork and contribute. We prefer honest documentation about what ships today versus what's on the roadmap, and we say so plainly on the site.
We process only the data needed to route, deliver and secure messages. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated per tenant, and โ for self-hosted deployments โ never leaves your own infrastructure. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Scoped API keys, audit logs, least-privilege access and responsible disclosure. If you discover a vulnerability, contact us at hello@jinacode.systems and we will work with you to fix it.
Our MCP server lets AI agents trigger messaging as native tools. We expect those integrations to keep a human accountable for outbound campaigns, to respect the same consent and anti-spam rules, and to avoid generating misleading content.
Platform fees and provider (Meta) costs are itemised separately on every invoice โ no hidden charges. Self-hosting is free forever under AGPL v3.
